Comparison review
Galaxy M31 is just a bit better than the Galaxy Note8, getting a score of 86.5 against 83. Galaxy M31's construction is extremely newer and a bit lighter than Galaxy Note8's, but it is a bit thicker. Both of these phones work with Android operating system, but Galaxy M31 has the older 11 version and Galaxy Note8 has Android 9.0 Pie.
Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with just a bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy M31, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2960 and a greater pixels number in each inch in the display. Samsung Galaxy M31's processing unit is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note8 one, they have the same RAM amount and the same number of cores.
The Galaxy M31 has a very superior camera than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for capturing photos and videos in low-light situations, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Galaxy M31 also counts with a much larger back-facing camera sensor providing a way better image quality and a camera with a lot better 64 mega-pixels resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy M31 counts with a little bit more memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also has an external memory slot that admits up to 512 GB. Samsung Galaxy M31 counts with a superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 6000mAh battery size against 3300mAh.
