Galaxy Note8 has a score of 83, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge's 81.7 score. The Galaxy Note8 is a incredibly newer cellphone than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, although it's a little bit thicker and heavier. These phones have Android operating system, but the Galaxy Note8 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has Android 5.0, giving some nice extra features and optimized performance.
The Galaxy Note Edge counts with a sharper screen than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a little bit worse 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch of display. Galaxy Note8 features a superior storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy Note Edge, because it has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 256 GB and 64 GB internal memory capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge counts with a bit superior processor than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and 4 less cores (although faster), it also counts with an extra graphics processor. Galaxy Note8 features a bit longer battery life than Galaxy Note Edge, because it has a 10% greater battery size.
The Galaxy Note Edge takes clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor which provides a lower photo and video quality and a lot tinier aperture which is worse for capturing photos and/or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Galaxy Note Edge also counts with a much better 16 MP resolution back facing camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs a bit more than Galaxy Note Edge, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note Edge. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy Note Edge, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
