Galaxy Note9 is just a bit better than Huawei Mate 30, having an 87.1 score against 84. The Galaxy Note9 design is older, a bit thicker and just a bit heavier than the Huawei Mate 30. The Samsung Galaxy Note9 counts with just a bit better looking display than Huawei Mate 30, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a higher screen density and a better 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution.

Huawei Mate 30's processing unit is just as good as the Galaxy Note9 one, and although the Huawei Mate 30 has a larger amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Galaxy Note9 counts with much more memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 30, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Galaxy Note9 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 512 GB.

Huawei Mate 30 features a bit longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because it has a 5% more battery capacity. Huawei Mate 30 counts with a better camera than Galaxy Note9, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for taking images and video in low light situations, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same video definition, the Huawei Mate 30 also counts with a much larger camera sensor providing a lot better image quality and a lot higher resolution back-facing camera.
