Samsung Galaxy Note9 has a general score of 87.1, which is slightly better than the Huawei P40 Lite's general score of 79.5. Samsung Galaxy Note9's body is older, a little bit thicker and just a little heavier than the Huawei P40 Lite. The Galaxy Note9 counts with a bit better processing unit than Huawei P40 Lite. Both of them have 6 GB of RAM memory and 8 cpu cores.
The Samsung Galaxy Note9 has a little bit better screen than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 also has a better 1440 x 2960 resolution and a greater display pixel density. Huawei P40 Lite has a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because although it has lower 30 frames per second video frame rate and a smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for low-light captures and videos, and they both have the same video resolution, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a back camera with lot more MP and a lot larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Samsung Galaxy Note9 has a way bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 also has an external memory slot that admits up to 512 GB. The Huawei P40 Lite features just a bit longer battery performance than Galaxy Note9, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P40 Lite. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note9, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Huawei P40 Lite, giving up a couple features and specs.
