Comparison review

The Xperia 1 III has a global score of 93.3, which is slightly better than Galaxy Note9's 87.1 general score. The Xperia 1 III construction is notably newer, a little bit lighter and a little thinner than Galaxy Note9. The Xperia 1 III features just a little better processing power than Galaxy Note9, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xperia 1 III also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

The Xperia 1 III counts with a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because it has a higher 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution, a little bit larger display and a better display pixels density. The Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a bit better camera than Galaxy Note9, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not nice for low-light photography and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a 12 mega pixels back facing camera, the Sony Xperia 1 III also counts with better video frame rate and a way larger sensor.

The Sony Xperia 1 III features a lot bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because it has more internal memory and a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1 TB. The Xperia 1 III has a little longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.

Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Note9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Note9. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia 1 III, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Note9, giving up a couple specs and features.
