The Galaxy A8 Star body is heavier but just a little bit thinner than the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime, and both of them were only released with a couple of months difference.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star features a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has more RAM. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star counts with a little more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime, because although it has a little lower number of pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels and a little bit larger display.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star takes slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy On7 Prime, because it has a camera with a higher 16 megapixels resolution, a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, a bigger back camera sensor shooting better quality photographs and videos and a bigger aperture.
