The Galaxy A8 Star is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime, getting an 82.1 score against 76.9. Both phones in this review come with the same Android 9.0 Pie OS (Operating System). The Galaxy A8 Star body is heavier but just a little bit thinner than the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime, and both of them were only released with a couple of months difference.

Samsung Galaxy A8 Star features a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has more RAM. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star counts with a little more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime, because although it has a little lower number of pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels and a little bit larger display.

Samsung Galaxy A8 Star takes slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy On7 Prime, because it has a camera with a higher 16 megapixels resolution, a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, a bigger back camera sensor shooting better quality photographs and videos and a bigger aperture. The Galaxy A8 Star features a bit bigger storage to install games and applications than Galaxy On7 Prime, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a SD card slot that supports up to 400 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has just a bit better battery duration than Galaxy On7 Prime, because it has 3700mAh of battery capacity.
