Google Nexus 5 has a global score of 76, which is a bit better than Galaxy S III's score of 74.8. These phones work with Android operating system, but the Google Nexus 5 has newer 4.4.3 version while Galaxy S III has Android 4.3 version. Google Nexus 5 is a a bit lighter cellphone than Galaxy S III, but both are 0.34inches thick.

The Google Nexus 5 features a bit more vivid display than Galaxy S III, because it has a way better 1920 x 1080 resolution, a quite bigger screen and more pixels per inch in the screen. The Galaxy S III has a lot bigger storage to store more games and applications than Google Nexus 5, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy S III also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 64 GB.

The Google Nexus 5 features just a little better processing power than Galaxy S III, although it has a weaker graphics co-processor, they both have 2 GB of RAM memory and a Quad-Core CPU. The Google Nexus 5 has just a little better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a 2300mAh battery capacity instead of 2100mAh.

The Google Nexus 5's camera is just as good as the camera in Galaxy S III, because although the Google Nexus 5 has a tinier camera sensor shooting worse quality videos and photos, and they both have the same video definition, a back camera with an 8 MP and the same video frame rates, it also counts with a bigger aperture to capture better low light images and video.

Although Google Nexus 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy S III, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S III. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Google Nexus 5, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy S III, giving up some specs and features.
