Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but Xperia XZ3 has 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy S III has Android 4.3 version, so it offers some additional features and performance improvements. Xperia XZ3 is a newer phone than the Samsung Galaxy S III, but it's heavier and thicker.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 features a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy S III, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and a higher number of faster cores.
