Xperia XZ3 has an overall score of 79.6, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S III's 74.8 global score. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but Xperia XZ3 has 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy S III has Android 4.3 version, so it offers some additional features and performance improvements. Xperia XZ3 is a newer phone than the Samsung Galaxy S III, but it's heavier and thicker.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 features a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy S III, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and a higher number of faster cores. The Sony Xperia XZ3 has a little bit better looking screen than Galaxy S III, because it has a lot better 1440 x 2880 resolution, a really brighter display, a larger display and a lot better amount of pixels per inch in the display.
The Xperia XZ3 features a very superior storage for games and applications than Galaxy S III, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 512 GB and more internal memory capacity. The Sony Xperia XZ3 has a much better battery performance than Galaxy S III, because it has a 59 percent bigger battery size.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 features a greater camera than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a way bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low light images and videos, a back camera with much more MP, a lot larger back-facing camera sensor shooting lot higher quality videos and photos and a way higher (4K) video quality.
Although Sony Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy S III, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy S III. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Sony Xperia XZ3, otherwise you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy S III, giving up some features and specs.
