Comparison review
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is just a bit better than the Galaxy S III, with a general score of 74.6 against 72.9. Although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is notably heavier than Galaxy S III, it's just a bit thinner and much newer. These phones include Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has newer 10 version and Galaxy S III has Android 4.3, providing the user a couple additional features and optimized performance.
The Samsung Galaxy S III has a little sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, although it has much less pixels per screen inch, a much lower resolution of 1280 x 720px and a really smaller display. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a bit more memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S III, and although they both have the same 32 GB internal storage, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a SD card slot that allows up to 128 GB.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a processor that is just as good as the Galaxy S III one, because although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with a greater number of faster cores and 1 GB more RAM. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a much better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2100mAh.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a very superior camera than Galaxy S III, because it has a back facing camera with a way higher resolution, a much higher 3840x2160 video resolution, a lot larger sensor and a lot larger aperture to take better low light images and video.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 costs a little more than Samsung Galaxy S III, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
