Comparison review

Xperia 5 is just a bit better than the Galaxy S4, getting a global score of 81 against 79. The Xperia 5 design is way newer than the Galaxy S4's, but it's a little thicker and heavier. The Xperia 5 features a bit better processing power than Galaxy S4, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with 4 GB more RAM and a larger number of cores (and faster).

Samsung Galaxy S4 counts with a bit sharper display than Sony Xperia 5, although it has a quite lower resolution of 1920 x 1080, a bit less pixels per inch in the screen and a little smaller display. Sony Xperia 5 takes clearer photos and videos than Galaxy S4, because although it has a lesser megapixels back camera, it also counts with a lot larger camera aperture, a way higher 3840x2160 video definition and a bigger sensor shooting better quality photos and videos.

Xperia 5 counts with a superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S4, because it has 64 GB more internal storage and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 512 GB. Xperia 5 counts with improved battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S4, because it has a 21 percent larger battery size.

Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy S4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy S4. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 5, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy S4, letting go a couple features and specifications.
