The Google Nexus 5 is slightly better than the Galaxy S4 Value Edition, with a 76 score against 72.2. These devices use Android operating system, but the Google Nexus 5 has newer 4.4.3 version and Galaxy S4 Value Edition has Android 4.4.2 version. The Google Nexus 5 body has the same weight than Galaxy S4 Value Edition, but it's just a bit thicker.
The Google Nexus 5 counts with a little bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition, and although they both have 4 cores and the same RAM amount, the Google Nexus 5 also has an extra GPU. Galaxy S4 Value Edition and Google Nexus 5 feature very similar displays, both of them have a higher number of pixels per inch in the display, a same size screen and an equal 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.
The Google Nexus 5 captures slightly better photographs and videos than Galaxy S4 Value Edition, although it has a lower video definition and a much worse 8 MP resolution back facing camera. The Galaxy S4 Value Edition has a way bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Google Nexus 5, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal memory, the Galaxy S4 Value Edition also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 64 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition has just a bit better battery life than Google Nexus 5, because it has a 13% bigger battery capacity.
Although Google Nexus 5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Google Nexus 5, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition, giving up a couple specifications.
