Comparison review

The Xperia 5 has an overall score of 81, which is better than the Galaxy S4 Value Edition's score of 72.2. Although it's the best we are comparing here, Xperia 5's body is heavier and a little bit thicker than the Galaxy S4 Value Edition. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition features a slightly better screen than Sony Xperia 5, although it has a just a bit inferior count of pixels per inch of screen, a bit smaller screen and a quite lower 1920 x 1080 resolution.

The Xperia 5 counts with a better performing processor than Galaxy S4 Value Edition, because it has a larger number of cores and 4 GB more RAM memory. Xperia 5 counts with a very superior camera than Galaxy S4 Value Edition, because although it has a camera in the back with less mega pixels resolution, it also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.

The Xperia 5 features much more storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition, because it has 96 GB more internal memory capacity and an external SD slot that supports up to 512 GB. The Sony Xperia 5 counts with improved battery lifetime than Galaxy S4 Value Edition, because it has a 3140mAh battery size instead of 2600mAh.

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S4 Value Edition, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S4 Value Edition. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy S4 Value Edition, letting go some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
