The Samsung Galaxy S5 has an overall score of 80.8, which is just a bit better than Google Nexus 5's overall score of 76. Samsung Galaxy S5's design is heavier but a little thinner than Google Nexus 5, and both were released with only a couple months difference. Both phones in this review have Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy S5 has the previous 4.4.2 version and Google Nexus 5 has Android 4.4.3.

Galaxy S5 features a slightly better looking display than Google Nexus 5, and although they both have the same 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, the Galaxy S5 also has a little larger display and a better display density. The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a superior storage capacity for apps and games than Google Nexus 5, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also has a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 128 GB.

The Galaxy S5 counts with just a bit better processing power than Google Nexus 5, and although they both have 4 cpu cores, the Galaxy S5 also has a better graphics processor and a greater amount of RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy S5 features greater battery life than Google Nexus 5, because it has a 2800mAh battery capacity against 2300mAh.

Samsung Galaxy S5 features a superior camera than Google Nexus 5, because it has a back facing camera with much more mega pixels, a larger aperture to capture better photos and videos in poorly lited situations, a lot higher video resolution and a larger back camera sensor providing a better image quality.
