Samsung Galaxy S5 has a global score of 80.8, which is slightly better than OnePlus 8's score of 76. The Samsung Galaxy S5 body is somewhat lighter than OnePlus 8, but it is just a little thicker and was released many years before. OnePlus 8 counts with a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy S5, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM and more processing cores.

OnePlus 8 shoots better videos and photos than Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the OnePlus 8 also has a larger aperture to take better images and videos in low light situations, a back facing camera with a way higher 48 MP resolution, better 60 frames per second video frame rates and a lot bigger sensor.
The OnePlus 8 features a much better storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S5, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. OnePlus 8 has a very superior battery performance than Galaxy S5, because it has a 54 percent bigger battery size.
The Galaxy S5 costs more than the OnePlus 8, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
