The Sony Xperia 5 is slightly better than the Galaxy S5, having an 81 score against 80.8. The Sony Xperia 5 is a heavier phone than Galaxy S5, but they have the same thickness. Xperia 5 counts with a little faster processor than Galaxy S5, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with a greater number of faster cores and 3 GB more RAM memory.

Galaxy S5 features just a bit better camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a way smaller aperture which is not so good for low-light captures and videos, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same back camera sensor size, the Galaxy S5 also counts with a camera with a much better 16 megapixels resolution.

Sony Xperia 5 counts with just a little better battery performance than Galaxy S5, because it has a 12 percent greater battery size.

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S5. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Xperia 5, else you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy S5, resigning a couple features and specifications.
