Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, with an 80.8 score against 76.4. Both phones we are comparing work with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy S5 has the previous 4.4.2 version while Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Samsung Galaxy S5's construction has the same weight and thickness than the Xiaomi Mi 5s.
The Galaxy S5 features a sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080, the Galaxy S5 also counts with a better pixel quantity in each screen inch. Xiaomi Mi 5s features a superior memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S5, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.
The Galaxy S5 has a bit better CPU than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S5 also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. Xiaomi Mi 5s has a little better battery lifetime than Galaxy S5, because it has a 14 percent bigger battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy S5 shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for capturing images and videos in low light situations and a smaller back camera sensor capturing worse quality pictures, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also counts with a camera in the back with a lot higher resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 costs more than Xiaomi Mi 5s, but it's still a convenient choice, as you can get a better phone for that extra money.
