The LG G8S ThinQ is just a bit better than Galaxy S5 Active, getting a score of 82.5 against 75.6. Even though the LG G8S ThinQ is a little bit heavier than the Galaxy S5 Active, it's somewhat thinner and noticeably newer. Both devices in this review have Android operating system, but LG G8S ThinQ has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy S5 Active has Android 4.4.4 version, so it provides a couple nice extra features and some performance improvements.
The LG G8S ThinQ counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and a larger number of cores. Samsung Galaxy S5 Active counts with a brighter screen than LG G8S ThinQ, because although it has a little smaller display and a bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch of display.
The LG G8S ThinQ features a way bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and 128 GB internal memory capacity. The LG G8S ThinQ counts with a better camera than Galaxy S5 Active, although it has a much worse 12 megapixels resolution camera and a worse 3840x2160 video quality.
The LG G8S ThinQ features greater battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a 27% more battery size.
