The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active counts with a bit faster CPU than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has lesser processing cores and less RAM, it also counts with an additional GPU. Moto Z3 Play takes much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy S5 Active, although it has a lot less mega pixels resolution camera and a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
The Motorola Moto Z3 Play counts with a way bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal storage. The Moto Z3 Play has a little better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Moto Z3 Play is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S5 Active, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S5 Active. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Moto Z3 Play, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy S5 Active, resigning some specs and features.
