Comparison review
The Galaxy Alpha has a score of 76.3, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active's 75.6 general score. Galaxy Alpha is a way thinner and noticeably lighter cellphone than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active. These phones come with the same Android 4.4.4 OS (operating system), so both should give all the same operating system features.
Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a processing unit that is very similar to Samsung Galaxy S5 Active's CPU, they have a 450 megahertz graphics processor, 4 cpu cores and 2 GB of RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a quite bigger screen, a much higher 1920 x 1080 resolution and more pixels per inch in the display.
Galaxy S5 Active has a greater memory for apps and games than Galaxy Alpha, because although it has just 16 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 128 GB. Galaxy Alpha shoots slightly better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, although it has a lower video quality and a way less MP camera.
Galaxy S5 Active has a really longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 2800mAh battery capacity against 1860mAh.
Although Galaxy Alpha is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S5 Active, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy S5 Active. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy Alpha, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy S5 Active, resigning a couple features and specifications.
