Comparison review
The Galaxy J7 Max is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, with a global score of 76.1 against 75.6. Even though Galaxy J7 Max is just a little heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, it's a little bit thinner and also noticeably newer. Both phones in this review use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy J7 Max has a newer 7.0 Nougat version while Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has Android 4.4.4 version, so it gives you some additional features.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active counts with a little better hardware performance than Galaxy J7 Max, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and a lower number of cores , it also counts with an additional GPU. Galaxy S5 Active features a sharper screen than Galaxy J7 Max, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, the Galaxy S5 Active also counts with a quite better display density.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max has a very superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 256 GB and more internal memory capacity. Galaxy J7 Max features better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a 3300mAh battery size against 2800mAh.
Galaxy J7 Max takes clearer photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Active, although it has a less megapixels resolution back camera and a much lower 1920x1080 video resolution.
