The Galaxy Note 3 has a global score of 81.2, which is a bit better than Galaxy S5 Active's 75.6 general score. Galaxy Note 3 is an older cellphone than Galaxy S5 Active, but it's just a little bit lighter and a little thinner anyway. These phones have Android OS, but Galaxy Note 3 has newer 5.0 version while Galaxy S5 Active has Android 4.4.4 version.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Active features a little bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active also counts with a little more pixels per screen inch.
