The Galaxy S5 Plus has an overall score of 78.1, which is a bit better than Galaxy S5 Active's 75.6 score. Although Galaxy S5 Plus and the Galaxy S5 Active were released with only 0 months difference, Galaxy S5 Plus is a little thinner and somewhat lighter. These phones include Android OS, but the Galaxy S5 Plus has an older 4.4.2 version while Galaxy S5 Active has Android 4.4.4 version.
Galaxy S5 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S5 Active count with really similar displays, they have the same display pixels density, a display of the same size and the same 1920 x 1080 resolution. The Galaxy S5 Plus's storage capacity for apps and games is just as good as the Galaxy S5 Active one, both have a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB and the same 16 GB internal storage.
The Galaxy S5 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S5 Active feature incredibly similar CPUs, and although the Galaxy S5 Plus has a faster graphics co-processor working at 500 MHz, they both have the same number of cores and 2 GB of RAM. Galaxy S5 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S5 Active feature quite similar batteries duration.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus captures much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy S5 Active. Both have a back facing camera with a 16 megapixels, the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
Although Galaxy S5 Plus is a better device, it costs more money than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy S5 Plus, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, giving up some features and specs.
