The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a global score of 85.7, which is better than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active's overall score of 75.6. Both phones in this comparison review use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has newer 5.0 version while Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has Android 4.4.4 version. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's body is newer, somewhat thinner and incredibly lighter than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a bit better looking screen than Galaxy S5 Active, and although they both have a same size display, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also has a higher pixels density and a better 2560 x 1440px resolution. The Galaxy S6 Edge features a much greater memory for games and applications than Galaxy S5 Active, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.

If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy S5 Active, letting go a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your savings.
