Galaxy S8 Active has a general score of 81.9, which is slightly better than the Galaxy S5 Active's score of 75.6. Galaxy S8 Active's design is extremely newer, but heavier and thicker than the Galaxy S5 Active. Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and an inferior number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with a GPU.
Galaxy S5 Active features a slightly better display than Galaxy S8 Active, although it has a bit lower screen pixel density, a way lower 1920 x 1080 resolution and a quite smaller display. Galaxy S8 Active takes better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, although it has a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a camera with a lot worse resolution.
