Comparison review
Sony Xperia Z5 is a little bit better than Galaxy S5 Active, getting a 77.6 score against 75.6. Both phones we are comparing here work with Android OS, but Sony Xperia Z5 has newer 5.1 version and Galaxy S5 Active has Android 4.4.4, counting with some nice extra features and performance tweaks. Sony Xperia Z5's construction is newer, somewhat thinner and a bit lighter than Galaxy S5 Active.
Sony Xperia Z5 features a screen that is just as good as Samsung Galaxy S5 Active's display, because although the Sony Xperia Z5 has a just a bit lower screen pixels density, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080, it also counts with a little larger display. Sony Xperia Z5 features a processor that is very similar to Samsung Galaxy S5 Active's processor, and although the Sony Xperia Z5 has 4 more CPU cores (although they are slower) and a larger amount of RAM, they both have a 450 MHz graphics co-processor.
The Xperia Z5 has a very superior camera than Galaxy S5 Active, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xperia Z5 also has a back facing camera with much more mega-pixels. Sony Xperia Z5 counts with much more storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, because it has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 200 GB and more internal memory.
The Xperia Z5 counts with a little longer battery duration than Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a 2900mAh battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia Z5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy S5 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S5 Active. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy S5 Active, letting go some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
