Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, having a general score of 77.5 against 75.6. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a way newer and somewhat thinner device than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, although it's heavier. The Galaxy S5 Active features a brighter display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a really smaller display, and they both have an equal 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Galaxy S5 Active also counts with a greater pixel amount per inch of display.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a much better memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy S5 Active, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 128 GB, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Galaxy S5 Active features a bit faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has 4 less CPU cores and a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra GPU.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a 5300mAh battery capacity instead of 2800mAh. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a much better camera than Galaxy S5 Active, although it has a back-facing camera with much less mega-pixels and a worse video definition.
Although Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active. If you want to save some money, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
