Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi MIX is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, getting a 76.2 score against 75.6. Although Xiaomi Mi MIX is somewhat heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, it's thinner and notably newer. Both phones in our current comparison come with Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Mi MIX has newer 6.0 Marshmallow version while Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has Android 4.4.4, counting with a couple additional features and some performance improvements.
Galaxy S5 Active counts with a bit better looking display than Xiaomi Mi MIX, because although it has a bit lower 1920 x 1080px resolution and a really smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit higher count of pixels in each inch of screen. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active counts with a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi Mi MIX, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active also counts with a GPU.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX features a lot bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. Xiaomi Mi MIX has a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a 4400mAh battery capacity instead of 2800mAh.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX counts with a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active. Both of them have a camera in the back with a 16 mega pixels, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy S5 Active, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S5 Active. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy S5 Active, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
