Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, with a score of 76 against 75.6. Both phones in this review work with Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a more recent 6.0 Marshmallow version while Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has Android 4.4.4. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a much newer device, and it's also thinner and just a little bit lighter than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active.
The Galaxy S5 Active features a brighter screen than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have an equal 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Galaxy S5 Active also counts with a just a little higher amount of pixels in each inch of display. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a much bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Active, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy S5 Active has a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S5 Active also counts with a graphics processing unit. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a superior battery performance than Galaxy S5 Active, because it has 4070mAh of battery capacity against 2800mAh.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2's camera is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active one, and although the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a much higher 23 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera, they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rates.
Although Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy S5 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S5 Active. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy S5 Active, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
