Comparison review
IPhone 8 is slightly better than the Galaxy S5 Plus, having a score of 85 against 78.1. IPhone 8's body is newer and just a little thinner than Galaxy S5 Plus's, but it's also a little bit heavier. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus features a much better looking display than iPhone 8, because it has a quite bigger display, a greater number of pixels per screen inch and a way better 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.
The iPhone 8 counts with a bit better processing power than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, and they both have 2 GB of RAM memory, the iPhone 8 also counts with a greater number of cores and a 64-bit CPU. IPhone 8 features a much better memory to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity.
The iPhone 8 takes a little bit better videos and photos than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has a worse 3840x2160 video definition, a smaller sensor capturing less light and dull colors and a back facing camera with lot less MP, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture for better low light captures and video.
Galaxy S5 Plus features a much longer battery life than iPhone 8, because it has a 54% more battery capacity.
Although Apple iPhone 8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
