The Huawei P20 has an overall score of 78.1, which is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus's 78.1 general score. These phones use Android operating system, but the Huawei P20 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2, so it provides a lot of extra features. Even though Huawei P20 is heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, it's just a little thinner and incredibly newer.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus features a better looking display than Huawei P20, because although it has a little bit smaller display and a quite lower 1920 x 1080px resolution, it also counts with a bit better display density. Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus counts with a bit superior CPU than Huawei P20, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM and lesser processing cores (although faster), it also counts with an extra graphics processor.
The Huawei P20 counts with a way bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. Huawei P20 counts with superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity instead of 2800mAh.
The Huawei P20 shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has a camera in the back with a way lower resolution and a worse video resolution, it also counts with a bigger back camera sensor which offers a higher photo and video quality and a larger camera aperture.
Although Huawei P20 is a better device, it costs a bit more than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
