LG V30 has a general score of 79.1, which is just a bit better than Galaxy S5 Plus's 78.1 general score. The LG V30 is a noticeably newer and just a little thinner cellphone than Galaxy S5 Plus, although it's just a little heavier. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has a bit more vivid screen than LG V30, although it has a quite smaller display, a just a bit worse pixels amount in each inch in the display and a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080px.

The LG V30's processing unit is just as good as the processor in Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although the LG V30 has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with 4 more processing cores and a higher amount of RAM memory. The LG V30 shoots slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has a smaller sensor capturing worse quality photos and videos, and they both have the same video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same resolution back camera, the LG V30 also counts with a way bigger aperture to capture better images and videos in low light environments.

LG V30 counts with a much bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a SD extension slot that supports up to 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal memory. LG V30 features improved battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has an 18% greater battery capacity.

Although LG V30 is a better device, it is more expensive than Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S5 Plus. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Galaxy S5 Plus, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most with your savings.
