Galaxy S6 edge+ is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, having a overall score of 79.3 against 78.1. Both of these phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy S6 edge+ has 5.1 version and Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2 version, giving you a couple additional features and performance optimizations. Galaxy S6 edge+ is a newer and somewhat thinner device than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, but it is just a little bit heavier.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus features a more powerful CPU than Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has less RAM memory, it also counts with more cores and an extra GPU. Galaxy S6 edge+ counts with a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a better 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, a little bit higher pixel quantity per inch of screen and a little bit larger display.

Although Galaxy S6 edge+ is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy S5 Plus. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Galaxy S6 edge+, else you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy S5 Plus, resigning a couple features and specs.
