Comparison review
Xperia XZ1 has an overall score of 78.3, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus's general score of 78.1. The Xperia XZ1 construction is incredibly newer and a little bit thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus's, but it is also a little heavier. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has a brighter display than Xperia XZ1, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus also counts with a bit greater number of pixels per screen inch.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 counts with a much bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 48 GB more internal storage capacity and a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB. Galaxy S5 Plus and Xperia XZ1 feature quite similar processors, because although the Xperia XZ1 has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher number of cores and more RAM.
The Xperia XZ1 takes slightly better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xperia XZ1 also has a better resolution back facing camera, a larger back camera sensor and a larger diafragm aperture to take better low-light photos.
The Galaxy S5 Plus features just a little better battery duration than Xperia XZ1, because it has a 2800mAh battery size.
Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S5 Plus. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy S5 Plus, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
