The Motorola Edge 50 has an overall score of 81.2, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport's 77.8 general score. The Motorola Edge 50 design is a lot newer and somewhat thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport's, but it's somewhat heavier. Both devices in this review have Android operating system, but Motorola Edge 50 has the previous 14 version while Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport has Android 4.4.2 version.
The Galaxy S5 Sport features a very superior CPU than Motorola Edge 50, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with a GPU. The Motorola Edge 50 counts with a bit sharper display than Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has a higher 1220 x 2712 resolution, a bit more pixels per inch of display and a lot bigger display.
The Motorola Edge 50 shoots much better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Motorola Edge 50 also has a larger aperture, a back-facing camera with a lot higher resolution and a way bigger camera sensor.
Motorola Edge 50 counts with a lot bigger memory for games and applications than Galaxy S5 Sport, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage. The Motorola Edge 50 has a superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 2800mAh.
