Comparison review
Galaxy M31s is a little bit better than Galaxy S6 Edge, with a global score of 88 against 85.7. Although Galaxy M31s is a lot newer than Galaxy S6 Edge, it is much thicker and way heavier. Both of these phones come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy M31s has the newer 11 version while Galaxy S6 Edge has Android 5.0, giving you some extra features and some performance improvements.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy M31s, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have 8 cpu cores, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with a 64 bits CPU and an additional GPU. The Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a way better screen than Galaxy M31s, because although it has a really smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a better pixel quantity per inch in the display.
Samsung Galaxy M31s features much more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S6 Edge, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy M31s also has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Samsung Galaxy M31s captures way better photos and videos than Galaxy S6 Edge, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy M31s also has a bigger aperture for better photos and videos in low light situations, a much higher 64 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera and a much bigger back camera sensor which gives a way higher image and video quality.
The Galaxy M31s has a way better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 6000mAh battery size.
