Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ is just a bit better than HTC One M9, having a 79.3 score against 77.7. Both of these phones have Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has 5.1 version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+'s body is a lot thinner and just a little lighter than HTC One M9, although they were released with only 5 months difference.
HTC One M9 counts with a superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a greater number of cores , an extra graphics processing unit and a 64-bits processing unit. The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has a slightly better looking display than HTC One M9, because it has a little bit bigger screen, a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display and a better resolution of 2560 x 1440.
HTC One M9 has just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for capturing pictures and/or video in low-light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the HTC One M9 also counts with a bigger sensor providing a higher image quality and a more mega-pixels camera.
HTC One M9 features a little bit more storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has just 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has just a little bit longer battery duration than HTC One M9, because it has a 3000mAh battery capacity instead of 2840mAh.
Although Galaxy S6 edge+ is a better device, it costs a lot more money than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as HTC One M9. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the HTC One M9, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
