Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has a score of 79.3, which is just a bit better than HTC U11's overall score of 77.6. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ is an older phone than the HTC U11, but Samsung was able to make it somewhat thinner and just a little lighter anyway. HTC U11 features a quite superior hardware performance than Galaxy S6 edge+, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the HTC U11 also has a greater number of cores (and they are faster).
Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ features a little bit better screen than HTC U11, because although it has a just a little lower screen pixel density, and they both have an equal 2560 x 1440 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ also counts with a bit larger screen. The Galaxy S6 edge+ captures slightly better photos and videos than HTC U11, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures and videos and a smaller sensor taking less light and duller colors, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy S6 edge+ also counts with a way more mega-pixels back-facing camera.
The HTC U11 has much more storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy S6 edge+, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the HTC U11 also has an external SD slot that holds up to 128 GB. The HTC U11 features a battery duration that's just as good as the Galaxy S6 edge+ one.
Although Galaxy S6 edge+ is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than HTC U11, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC U11. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the HTC U11, letting go some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
