Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has a global score of 79.3, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy J8's overall score of 76.7. Both of these phones use Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has older 5.1 version while Galaxy J8 has Android 10. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ is an incredibly older phone than the Galaxy J8, but Samsung was able to build it lighter and somewhat thinner.

The Samsung Galaxy J8 has just a bit better performance than Galaxy S6 edge+, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM memory, the Samsung Galaxy J8 also has more cores (although they are slower). Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ counts with a much more vibrant screen than Galaxy J8, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher amount of pixels per inch of display and a lot higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ captures slightly better pictures and videos than Galaxy J8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for low light photos and video, and they both have a camera in the back with a 16 mega-pixels, the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ also counts with a larger sensor which offers a better photo and video quality and a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.

Samsung Galaxy J8 counts with a much better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S6 edge+, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy J8 also has a SD card slot that holds up to 256 GB. The Galaxy J8 has a bit better battery duration than Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a 17% larger battery capacity.
