Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has a score of 79.3, which is slightly better than the Galaxy S5 Sport's general score of 77.8. The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ is a newer phone, and it's also a little lighter and extremely thinner than the Galaxy S5 Sport. These phones include Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has 5.1 version while Galaxy S5 Sport has Android 4.4.2 version, giving some nice extra features and a performance increase.
The Galaxy S5 Sport features a more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a graphics co-processor and a higher number of cores (and also faster). The Galaxy S6 edge+ features a little bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has a little higher pixels quantity per inch in the screen, a better 2560 x 1440px resolution and a quite bigger display.
The Galaxy S6 edge+ has a bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy S5 Sport, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Galaxy S6 edge+ takes a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, and although they both have a camera with a 16 megapixels resolution, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the same camera sensor size and the same video quality, the Galaxy S6 edge+ also has a larger camera aperture for better photography and video in low light environments.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ features a bit longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has a 3000mAh battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S5 Sport, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S5 Sport. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy S5 Sport, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
