Xperia 1 II has a general score of 91, which is much better than Galaxy S6 edge+'s overall score of 79.3. The Xperia 1 II body is way newer than the Galaxy S6 edge+'s, although it is thicker and heavier. These devices use Android OS, but Xperia 1 II has the newer 11 version while Galaxy S6 edge+ has Android 5.1, providing a couple additional features and performance enhancements.
The Sony Xperia 1 II counts with a faster processor than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a larger amount of RAM and a higher number of cores. Galaxy S6 edge+ counts with a slightly better display than Xperia 1 II, although it has a lot worse 2560 x 1440 resolution, a just a little worse count of pixels per screen inch and a bit smaller screen.
Xperia 1 II counts with a superior storage for applications and games than Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has more internal storage and an external SD slot that admits up to 1000 GB.
