Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 1 III is much better than the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, with a 93.3 score against 79.3. The Sony Xperia 1 III construction is incredibly newer, but heavier and somewhat thicker than the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+. Both phones in our current comparison use Android operating system, but Sony Xperia 1 III has a more recent 11 version while Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has Android 5.1 version, providing a couple additional features.

Galaxy S6 edge+ has a bit more vivid screen than Xperia 1 III, although it has a way lower 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, a quite worse pixels density and a bit smaller screen. The Sony Xperia 1 III features a quite superior hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a greater number of faster cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.

Xperia 1 III counts with just a bit better camera than Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a much lower resolution camera in the back and a worse video definition, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light captures and video and a lot bigger back camera sensor capturing way higher quality videos and photos.

The Xperia 1 III counts with a much bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has 192 GB more internal storage and a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 1 TB. Xperia 1 III has a superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.

Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy S6 edge+, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S6 edge+. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy S6 edge+, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
