Comparison review
The Galaxy S6 edge+ has an overall score of 79.3, which is slightly better than the Xperia Z3's general score of 77.3. Galaxy S6 edge+'s body is newer, somewhat lighter and way thinner than Xperia Z3. Both of these phones include Android OS, but the Galaxy S6 edge+ has newer 5.1 version and Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4.
The Sony Xperia Z3 features a superior processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has 1 GB less RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores (and faster) and an additional graphics processor. Xperia Z3 features a bit sharper display than Galaxy S6 edge+, although it has a way lower 1920 x 1080 resolution, a little bit lower display density and a quite smaller screen.
Xperia Z3 has a little bit better memory capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has only 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 128 GB. The Xperia Z3 has a little better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a 7% more battery size.
Xperia Z3 captures a bit better photos and videos than Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not nice for low-light photography and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xperia Z3 also counts with a camera with much more mega-pixels and a bigger back camera sensor providing a better image quality.
Although Galaxy S6 edge+ is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Sony Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Sony Xperia Z3. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Sony Xperia Z3, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
