Comparison review

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has an overall score of 79.8, which is slightly better than Galaxy S6 edge+'s overall score of 79.3. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a heavier and somewhat thicker device than the Galaxy S6 edge+. Both devices in this comparison review use the same Android 5.1 operating system, so both should provide the user identical OS features.

Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a brighter display than Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a much better pixels amount per screen inch. Xperia Z5 Premium has a superior processing power than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processor and a higher number of cores (although they are slower).

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a larger aperture for better low-light photos and videos, a bigger camera sensor shooting higher quality videos and pictures and a lot more mega-pixels back facing camera.

Xperia Z5 Premium features a quite bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has just 32 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 200 GB. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has 3430mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.

Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it is more expensive than Galaxy S6 edge+, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy S6 edge+. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy S6 edge+, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
