Comparison review
The Xperia 5 is just a bit better than Galaxy S7 Active, with a general score of 81 against 75.8. The Xperia 5 is a notably newer device, and it is also thinner and lighter than the Galaxy S7 Active. Sony Xperia 5 features just a little better processing power than Galaxy S7 Active, because it has a larger number of faster cores and more RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active has a brighter display than Xperia 5, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a greater number of pixels per screen inch and a slightly better resolution of 1440 x 2560. Sony Xperia 5 takes a little bit better photos and videos than Galaxy S7 Active, and although they both have the same video frame rates, the same (4K) video definition and the same resolution camera, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a larger aperture.
Xperia 5 counts with a much bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy S7 Active, because it has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB and 96 GB more internal memory capacity. The Galaxy S7 Active has better battery lifetime than Xperia 5, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S7 Active, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S7 Active. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia 5, else you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy S7 Active, giving up some features and specifications.
