Comparison review
The Sony Xperia XZ1 has a general score of 78.3, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active's 75.8 general score. Sony Xperia XZ1's body is newer, somewhat lighter and noticeably thinner than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. Sony Xperia XZ1 features a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also has 4 more CPU cores.
Galaxy S7 Active counts with a better looking display than Xperia XZ1, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a better pixels density and a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution. Xperia XZ1 counts with a much better storage for games and applications than Galaxy S7 Active, because it has 64 GB internal memory and an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.
The Xperia XZ1 has a better camera than Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for taking photographs and video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia XZ1 also counts with a much more mega pixels camera in the back.
The Galaxy S7 Active has a way better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ1, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S7 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S7 Active. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia XZ1, otherwise you can save some money and get the Galaxy S7 Active, letting go a couple specs and features.
