Galaxy S7 edge has an overall score of 78.1, which is slightly better than the OnePlus 8's 76 general score. The Galaxy S7 edge construction is a little bit thinner and lighter than OnePlus 8, despite of the fact that it was released 4 years before. OnePlus 8 counts with a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 4 GB more RAM memory and more CPU cores.
The OnePlus 8 features a bit sharper screen than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a little less pixels per inch of display and a little bit lower 1080 x 2400px resolution, it also counts with a larger screen. OnePlus 8 has a quite bigger storage for games and applications than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage capacity.
The OnePlus 8 features greater battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a 19% more battery size. OnePlus 8 features a lot better camera than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the OnePlus 8 also counts with better video frame rates, a back-facing camera with a lot better resolution and a larger sensor shooting higher quality photographs.
The Galaxy S7 edge is a little more expensive than OnePlus 8, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
