Comparison review

Xperia 5 has a score of 81, which is slightly better than the Galaxy S7 edge's 78.1 general score. Xperia 5 is a newer phone than Galaxy S7 edge, but it's just a little heavier and just a little thicker. The Galaxy S7 edge counts with a slightly better screen than Xperia 5, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a little better screen pixels density and a slightly better resolution of 1440 x 2560.

Sony Xperia 5 features a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a higher number of cores and more RAM memory. Xperia 5 has a camera that's just as good as Galaxy S7 edge's camera, because although the Xperia 5 has a tinier sensor capturing less light and duller colors, and they both have the same video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same resolution back camera, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture to take better low light photography and video.

The Sony Xperia 5 counts with a much better storage to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 128 GB internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Galaxy S7 edge features a little better battery life than Xperia 5, because it has 3600mAh of battery capacity against 3140mAh.

Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S7 edge. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 5, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy S7 edge, letting go a couple features and specifications.
