Comparison review

Sony Xperia XZ1 is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, having a global score of 78.3 against 78.1. Sony Xperia XZ1's design is newer, just a little bit thinner and just a little lighter than the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. Sony Xperia XZ1 has just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also has a higher number of cores (and also faster).

The Galaxy S7 edge has a slightly better display than Sony Xperia XZ1, because it has a higher amount of pixels per display inch, a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution and a quite larger display. Xperia XZ1 shoots slightly better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for low light photos, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xperia XZ1 also counts with a much better resolution back camera and a bigger camera sensor.

Sony Xperia XZ1 counts with a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 64 GB internal memory and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Galaxy S7 edge counts with a much longer battery performance than Xperia XZ1, because it has a 33 percent more battery capacity.

Although Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S7 edge. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Xperia XZ1, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy S7 edge, resigning some features and specifications.
