Comparison review
The Galaxy S8 Active is just a bit better than the Xperia XZ2, getting a overall score of 81.9 against 79.1. Although the Galaxy S8 Active and the Xperia XZ2 were released only a couple months apart, Galaxy S8 Active's body is just a bit heavier but also somewhat thinner than the Xperia XZ2. Galaxy S8 Active features a bit more vivid display than Xperia XZ2, because it has a better 1440 x 2960 resolution, more pixels per inch of display and a quite larger screen.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 counts with a little faster processing unit than Galaxy S8 Active. Both of them have a 4 GB RAM and a Octa-Core processor. The Xperia XZ2 features slightly more memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Xperia XZ2 also has a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 400 GB.
Xperia XZ2 has a bit better camera than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xperia XZ2 also counts with a back facing camera with lot more MP, better video frame rate and a larger sensor capturing better quality videos and photos.
The Galaxy S8 Active features superior battery duration than Sony Xperia XZ2, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
