The Samsung Galaxy S8 is slightly better than Galaxy A12, with an 81.7 score against 80.3. Although Samsung Galaxy S8 is older than the Galaxy A12, it's design is a lot lighter and thinner. The Galaxy S8 counts with a much more vibrant screen than Galaxy A12, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater amount of pixels per inch in the display and a much higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels.
Galaxy A12 and Galaxy S8 count with quite similar CPUs, both of them have a 4 GB RAM and the same number of cores. Samsung Galaxy A12 has a bit better camera than Galaxy S8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for taking photographs or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy A12 also counts with a way more megapixels back camera.
Galaxy A12 has a much greater memory capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S8, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy A12 also has an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 1 TB. Samsung Galaxy A12 has a much better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
